Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by your Paddy Trails representative and begin your journey to the ancient city of Anuradhapura, one of Sri Lanka’s most sacred historical capitals. After check-in at the hotel, relax and prepare to explore the cultural heritage of this remarkable destination.
Early in the morning enjoy an exciting wildlife safari in Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka’s largest national park known for its natural lakes and diverse wildlife including leopards and elephants. Afterwards, an optional visit to the ancient ruins and sacred sites of Anuradhapura can be arranged before continuing the journey north to Jaffna.
While in Jaffna, explore the region’s rich cultural and religious landmarks including the vibrant Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil, the historic Jaffna Fort, and the sacred island temple of Nagadeepa Purana Vihara, an important pilgrimage site for Buddhists.
Optional Dolphin Watching After breakfast, depart from Jaffna and travel along Sri Lanka’s scenic northern coastline to Trincomalee. Upon arrival, you may choose to enjoy an optional dolphin watching excursion, offering a chance to witness playful dolphins in the clear waters of the Indian Ocean.
Enjoy a full day at leisure on the beautiful beaches of Trincomalee, known for their soft golden sands and crystal-clear waters. Relax by the ocean, swim in the warm sea, or simply unwind while enjoying the tranquil coastal atmosphere.
Departure After breakfast, travel back to the coastal town of Negombo and check in at the hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, you will later proceed to the airport for your onward journey.
